Fantasy Update

I've noticed that the blog viewing has declined over these past weeks. Perhaps another declaration of war would get people interested again. Huh? I'm just kidding. My reason for posting is to announce that my fantasy team is back in play-off contention. With two weeks left, I stand in 4th place, which is a playoff spot. If I keep up my win streak, I'll be in. I share a 3-6 record with Michards team and The Hippies, however, I have more overall points than them. But like I said, there's still some time left. The Abu Dhabi Bullets and The Winners appear to have already clinched a spot in the postseason, but the remaining two spots are up for grabs and it should be an exciting two weeks. Good luck to everyone (you're gonna need it). Heh heh heh.

I haven't posted in a little while, so I just want to give everyone (particularly those in other countries) a little update on what's going on. For starters, everyone who owes me money has paid, and it seems that we're taking a little break from betting now, but it's sure to start up again eventually. We're planning a road trip to California two summers from now. Should be a blasty blast. Chambers is mad he can't go, but we just don't have enough room. He insists that there would be plenty, but we're driving cross country here, and it will get crowded after a few days. Football finished with a disappointing 2-7 season. However, JV won 4 straight and finished with a 4-5 record. Better luck next year I guess. Winter will bring new activites for Big Lee. I plan on coaching basketball with the legendary Coach Clark. The team features my brother Mike. Enough said. We will dominate. My fantasy team seems to be struggling this year. I'm still optimistic for a turn-around though. Thats all I have to say for now. Fair Warning

This post is to all of those who owe me money. I'm not going to say any names (Mich, Chambers) cause they know who they are (Mich, Chambers). But if you don't pay me by Friday, 10/27, you will not be eligable to make bets for this weekend, and I will be very mad at you.

Advice to betters: put aside an "acount" with all the money you win on bets, and all other money you're willing to lose. This can be used in the playoffs and for the superbowl to make big bets. The key is only bet what you're willing to lose, because then you won't be sorry if you do, but if you win it's a good little bonus. Of course I never lose, cause I'm Lucky Lee. Peace.

Sports Betting

Recently, I've developed a new hobby. That hobby is betting on pro football games (as well as the occasional college game). Not for a huge sum of money, but a little extra cash. It makes me want to pay attention to games I wouldn't normally care about. Once the world series gets underway, I plan to make a fairly substantial bet on one of the two teams.

My new ambition is to move to Las Vegas and make my living betting on sports. I'll start with a very small amount of money, then double that, and double that, and so on and so forth. I'll earn the nickname of "Lucky Lee" and be a local legend. Then, someone who happens to work for ESPN will be in Las Vegas on vacation. We'll be sitting next to each other at a bar and I'll be watching the games, making sure I win. The guy from ESPN will be so amazed by my ability to pick the winning team, and he'll offer me a job on Sports Center. It'll be a small segment called "Lucky Lee's Pick." Then, I'll have a steady income, but that won't stop me from making the occasional trip to Vegas and betting on the games. What a life, huh?

Well, I've hit a couple milestones. This is my 50th post. Thats half way to 100 for those of you who have trouble in math. I believe I'm the first one to hit this number. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I have also made changes to my profile, which I expected to generate many more views. My number jumped from about 170 to 211 in just a couple of days. I'm cathing up to Waldo, who is currently in the lead in that category. Who will be the first one to 75 posts? or 100? Only time will tell. It is my prediction that the blog world will get stronger and the posts will get better. Peace.

Blog War Over

Alright, Blog War 1 has been over for a few days now, but I just haven't gotten around to posting. Chambers finally surrendered, and Michard just went along with him. Its over now, and Big Lee can put another victory into the record books.

Waldo stated a fact before that was innacurate (But thats nothing new. If you look back at the Da Vinci Code war I had with him you'll see several incorrect "facts"). But anyway, his claim was that his blog was the first of our little group. The truth is that Fidel Giamatti created the first blog. He then convinced Waldo and myself to start one up, which we did the following day. I have a lot of respect for Waldo and his blog, but he just needs to get his facts straight before he goes on boasting. Peace to the world, the war is over, back to normal posts. Chambers = 666

I was rather soft on Chambers in my last post, and he laughed it off and called it no big deal. Well the mother of all posts is upon you, Chambers.

This past year, a boy stricken with Autism touched our hearts when he was put in his high school basketball game and scored 20 points in the last few minutes. I found this story inspiring, but Chambers said, "That autistic kid's a bitch." He then went on to deny he said it. At least take responsibility for it, apologize, and we can move on. We all say things we regret. But Chambers didn't stop at that.

He also has something against gay people. If you read his last post, you'll notice that he said that anyone who doesn't join his side is gay. I have nothing against gay people. If its who you are, its who you are. But Chambers obviously views it as a bad thing. When asked about it today, he said, "I have nothing against those people." What do you mean "Those People?" Chambers. Yet another example of racism. It seems that he doesn't have a problem with minorities, as long as they can go out into the fields and pick more cotton for him.

I always believed that Chambers was the devil himself, but then I saw this picture and now I know for sure that he is.

Crocodile Hunter Dead... Or Is He?

It has been all over the news that Steve Irwin, better known as "The Crocodile Hunter," was killed by a sting ray while filming a new show. I've been a supporter of many conspiracy theories in the past, but this one I've figured out for myself. I'm calling it right now... Steve Irwin is still alive.

There are many reasons for my theory:

1. Steve Irwin wrestled Crocodiles countless times without getting a scratch. What are the odds that he'd fall victim to a sting ray? Not very likely.

2. Lets face it... The Crocodile Hunter's popularity has declied in the past two years. What a way to boost it back up.

3. Isn't it convenient that a camera was present during the attack? The video is currently in police custody, but I'm sure eventually it will get in the hands of the press. The video was probably there to prove that the attack was not a hoax, but I'm not buying it.

I've been persecuted many times for my theories, and I'm sure this one will have it share of complaints. But mark my words. Steve Irwin is sitting somewhere (probably with 2pac) drinking a margarita and enjoying the skyrocketing dvd sales of his nature show. One day the, world will know the truth.

Alright, I was watching FOX, and saw a comercial for the teen choice awards. "The teen choice awards," it announced. "Hosted by Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook." Two very talented people right there. But the next line cracked me up, and quite frankly made me pitty the people at FOX. "And featuring a first live performance, by Kevin Federline." KEVIN FEDERLINE!?!? Come on. Are you telling me that FOX couldn't get anyone better to headline the teen choice awards then K-FED? Big Lee's Favorite TV Shows

There are a lot of very interesting shows on TV this summer. Some funny, some dramatic, and some just plain weird. Throughout the summer, I found a couple worthy of a post.

Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia is by far the funniest show of the summer. It's about four friends who own a bar in Philadelphia. One critic described it as "Seinfeld on crack." A combination of crude, witty, and bizzare humor make the show unique and very hilarious.

Another great show is America's Got Talent. Some consider it to be a rip off of American Idol. But there are a variety of acts on this show as opposed to just singing on American Idol. Not to mention, the producer is Simon Cowel, so he can't be ripping of his own show. Anyway, the show is a talent contest with three judges: David Hasselhoff, Brandy, and Peirs Morgan. And of course, the host: Regis Philbin. Some acts are good, some acts are so bad they're good. But its always entertaining to watch.

The Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report with Stephen Colbert have been around for a little while. But only recently have I started watching them regularly. This is because I am up late during the summer nights. Anyway, these shows poke fun at current social and political issues. Clever and quite humorous, these shows are a must see.

Waldo fails to come up with a response

I left a comment on the Waldo Files which said the following:

You have no right to talk bad about something you don't know anything about. I can critique it because I saw it, but you can't because you didn't. I'm gonna repeat this comment until you admit that that's true.

He responded with the same thing he's been saying the whole time. He claims that I know nothing about his point of view. Well, I don't think that he knows anything about his point of view because he's not familiar with the Da Vinci Code. Let me give and example:

If I criticize the Bible without having read it, I have no argument because I haven't read it. I could read passages from it, but that would not be enough. I could accuse someone that they don't know anything from my point of view. They would simply have to respond with "you don't know what you're talking about, so how could you have an opposing argument?"

That scenerio is the same thing as Waldo's and mine. I realize that The Da Vinci Code is a work of Fiction. But to many people, so is the Bible. My final thought about the matter is: If you're going to criticize something, make sure you've read it or seen it or done whatever with it depending on what it is. If you don't do that then there is no hope you could argue against it.

The Aftermath

While the war is over, there is still tension between Waldo and Myself. I hope that this tension will soon die down. Both sides claimed victory. Waldo said that he won because he had more facts than I. Perhaps he did, but about what? Things irrelevant to the Da Vinci Code. I claimed victory due to the lack of knowledge Waldo had about The Da Vinci Code. It appears there will never be a resolution. Basiaclly it was a stalemate.

Fidel Giamatti is back, and still blabbing on about Mumia. I sense a possible blog war about that topic in the near future. Guilty or Innocent? Who knows. But each side has arguments worth considering. Guess thats all I have to say. Peace.

Waldo + lack of knowledge = a victory for Big Lee

I am relieved that it is finally over. Unfortunately, many harsh things were said and much time was spent at the computer typing the most sarcastic and witty things we could think of. But it is finally over and I am glad. I decided to jump on the bandwagon of "Blog Math" (if you notice the title). That pretty much sums up the war right there. You can go through the comments on both Big Lee's Blog and Waldo Files to see what was said back and forth. It will surely go down in history as one of the most brutal blog wars in the history of blogging. It ended with a crushing blow by Big Lee that Waldo has no possible comeback to, hence, the ticker tape parade to celebrate peace. No hard feelings Waldo.

Tupac Shakur is Alive

In my last post, I displayed evidence proving that the apollo moon landing was fake. Now, I'll educate you on another conspiricy theory.

You don't have to like Tupac Shakur to be interested in this story. Tupac was supposedly murdered in a drive-by shooting in September of 1996. However, many friends and family of the rapper say that he is still alive somewhere, and there evidence to prove this theory.

After his "death," an album was released. Makaveli: Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. The first part is a reference to Niccol Machiavelli, an Itallian philosopher who believed that faking one's death was a sure way to fool enemies. Perhaps this is Tupac's message to the world that things aren't all that they seem to be.

Of course, that doesn't proove anything. 14 months after his death, the album R U Still Down? was released. Tupac starred in three videos promoting the album. When asked about this, his manager said that Tupac as a forward thinking man and filmed the videos 2 months before his death. Coincidence? I don't think so.

In 1998, Tupac's Greatest Hits was released. As with all albums released after his "death" the songs were said to be recorded long ago. However, the album featured 6 new songs, and in one song, Shakur makes reference to the film Armagedden, which came out long after his death. In another, he congratulates the Denver Broncos on winning the superbowl, which also hapened after his death.

We may never know the truth, but there is no denying that the evidence is intriquing. There are more facts out there and all those interested should google something like "Tupac Alive?" to find links. Peace.

Apollo Moon Landing Fake

Okay guys, here's an image we're all familiar with: man on the moon.

Its so amazing to think that a human being could leave this planet and set foot on a "Non-Earth" surface. However, there are many things wrong with the pictures our astronauts brought back from the moon. Things that are scientifically impossible to occur on the moon occured in those pictures. So, it is my belief that man never really walked on the moon, and the pictures and video we see are nothing but a staged government plot to raise our spirits. It is up to you to choose what you believe, but perhaps you'll consider the following points.

It is first important to ask yourself... Why would the government do such a thing? There are a few reasons.

1. The space race with the Soviet Union was reaching its peak. America wanted to win so badly, they decided they would cheat and pretend to be on the moon. Nobody would know they were really in the Nevada desert with a camera crew and actors.

2. The Vietnam war was getting increasingly worse, and to distract the rather worried citizens, the government decided to make a giant leap for mankind.

3. NASA raised 30 billion dollars pretending to go to the moon. All that money was meant to be used for the technology necessary to attempt such a stunt. The cost to fake it was obviously a lot less. Therefore, the funds went in the pocket of those high on the NASA food chain.

Lets observe another photo:

The first thing wrong with the picture: the astronauts shadow. It is obvious that the shadow is longer than the man himself. Not unusual... on Earth. The only light source on the moon is the sun, therefore making a shadow that large impossible.

Also, i'd like to draw your attention to the flag. There is no oxygen on the moon, as we all know. Then how can the flag be fluttering? The last time I checked, you need wind to make something flutter, yet the red, white and blue appears to be moving quite a lot. The picture below shows a better view of the flag.
Another little something I'd like to point out is the sky in the background. Seems a little dark to me. Aren't there stars in the sky? I've never seen one star in any moon photo I've seen. You'd think in such a large conspiricy, someone would have thought to put stars in the backdrop of this act, but yet they are absent from the sky. If they were really on the moon they'd be there.

One more little thing...
In this picture, there appears the be the letter "C" carved on this rock. Obviously man-made, this rock must have come from Earth. A little gag by the props department perhaps? Who knows.

Anyway... I hope you will consider my arguments. Look up some information for yourself. I am not the only one who thinks this, and there are several sites supporting the belief. Googling "moon walk fake?" will surely set you up with some great links. As they say in NASA... "roger that... over and out."

A true example of sticking it to the man

LATTA, S.C. (May 22) - A 15-year-old girl led a small protest march Monday over her high school's ban on Confederate flag clothing, which she is also challenging in court.
Candice Hardwick walked with about a dozen people, about half of them family members and some wearing Confederate T-shirts, a few blocks to Latta High School. Hardwick wore a Confederate belt buckle and button and had the Confederate flag on her cell phone cover. She removed those items before entering the school, where she is a sophomore.
Hardwick says she wants to wear the emblem to pay tribute to ancestors who fought on the Confederate side of the Civil War. She said she has been forced to change clothes or turn her shirt inside-out, and has been suspended twice and threatened with being kicked off the track team.
John Kirby, school superintendent, said Monday that officials "have clothing issues every year ... and we've handled it consistently every time."
Among those marching with Candice was a black man, H.K. Edgerton, past chairman of the Southern Legal Resource Center's advisory board. The group filed a federal lawsuit in March on her behalf.
"She's made a stand for her Southland," said Edgerton. A former local NAACP leader in North Carolina, he is known for dressing up in Confederate gear to emphasize what he describes as the role blacks played in voluntarily supporting the South in the Civil War.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1969 that the First Amendment protects students' political expressions during school hours so long as they don't substantially disrupt the education process.
The high court has not ruled specifically on whether a student may wear Confederate symbols. Three years ago, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta upheld a lower court ruling allowing a school to ban the Confederate flag.

Officer Daniel Faulkner

I realize that in the past, I have made some very funny posts. This is not one of them. There has been talk among the blog community about Mumia Abu Jamal, and his "innocence" in the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner. I'm not here to tell you that Mumia is guilty, but rather to tell you a little about the crime that occured on the night of his arrest. Whether Mumia did it or not, I believe not enough attention is being focused on the actual crime that was committed, and the victim of the brutal killing.

Daniel J. Faulkner (December 21, 1955 – December 9, 1981) was a Philadelphia police officer who was murdered in the line of duty. Mumia Abu-Jamal, a journalist, political activist, and member of the Black Panther Party and MOVE, was arrested and convicted of Faulkner's murder. Abu-Jamal's conviction has since led to a decades-long controversy.
Daniel Faulkner had settled down with his wife Maureen in Philadelphia and had been serving with the Philadelphia Police Department for five years. On December 9, 1981, Faulkner pulled over William Cook, the brother of Mumia Abu-Jamal (born Wesley Cook). While Faulkner attempted to arrest Cook, Abu-Jamal arrived and allegedly shot Faulkner five times. Officer Faulkner also fired, wounding Abu-Jamal in the chest. Abu-Jamal was taken into custody by other officers after he collapsed nearby. Daniel Faulkner was pronounced dead the same night. (article courtesy of Wikepedia).

I would like to point out that I am against the death penalty, and whether or not Mumia is guilty, he does not deserve to die. But someone did die that night in the line of duty. No matter how strongly people believe in Mumia's innocence, we can not forget the crime that was committed. Justice does need to be served. Remember, there are two sides to every story.

Just writing to say hi. I realize that I havn't posted in a while, and I apoligize to anyone who may have cut themselves because of this. But guess what? I'm back! And better than evah. The picture to the left is of a Lion-Dog. That's right... half lion half dog.

Free Mumia

If I've learned one thing, it's that you should not just post videos without writing anything, especially if they're about little kids getting hurt (even though its hilarious).

I'd also like to remind readers of my feud with Fidel Giamatti. It was a brutal war, featuring mom, wife and fat jokes. But we are all happy it is over and can now look back on it and see how silly we were.

We were all there to see Waldo make his announcement that he was moving to the UAE. That's right, you heard it first on Blogspot. We were there through the actor disses, such as George Clooney, Tom Cruise, and I guess Tom Hanks is the new guy we're ripping on. You know, I don't get why people hate Mr. Hank's so much. I mean, who would have been better in any of his roles? Someone please give me a name (besides Paul Giamatti) of an actor who would have made a better Forrest Gump, or Army Guy, or loser stranded on an island. He was perfect for those roles. You the man Tom!!!

Anyway... I'd like to talk about movies. Snakes on a Plane should be just about the greatest thing to hit the big screen. I wonder what it's about? The title doesn't give any hints so I guess it will be a surprise. Then we have Scary Movie 4. I was fortuante enough to see that with a few of my homies and I gotta say it was quite amusing. But one movie will rise above them all, and that movie is Nacho Libre. Jack Black is in it. Need I say more? You the man Jack!!!

My fellow bloggers and I have also spent a considerable amount of time talking about 24 on Fox, which is quite possibly the greatest show on telivision. Kiefer Sutherland, who plays Jack Bauer, is also appearing in the upcoming movie The Sentenial. Now if that doesn't look like the best damn thing to hit the big screen, I don't know what does. (Maybe the Da Vinci Code, but now you're just comparing apples and oranges). 24 has brought me to the word of the year: Syntox Nerve Gas. The year isn't even over yet, and I know nothing in the remaining months will compare to the excitement that 24 and the Syntox Nerve Gas crisis has.

Then, we had Bomb's Away. Oh how I will miss the songs that I never even heard. "I hate the Media," "Balls of Steel," and "The 80's Metal Montage," are just a couple of the greatest hits. Unfortuantely, the band broke up after only practicing 2 times. We will never forget you Bomb's Away!!!

I suppose thats all I have to write about now. I'm sure people like Fidel Giamatti will find something bad to say about this post, but I won't let it get to me. Because I know in my heart, that this is a fantastic collection of memories that are enjoyable to read. Thank You to all who have made my blogging experience wonderful thus far.

24/Prison Break Update

Okay...

So how many people are in solitary now? We have Lincoln, Michael and the Puerto Rican guy. How the hell are they getting out of there? It's also obvious that L.J will soon be reunited with his father in prison. What a stupid ass! He could have got information from the secret service guy, but instead he shot him, and now he's going to jail. And come on. How long can the black guy pretend he's in Iraq? Sooner or later, his wife is gonna find out he's in jail, and it's all over. Then we have the wigger.
Poor bastard has a creepy cell mate who's after him... if you know what I mean. It will definately be interesting to see where the clever Fox writers take us next week.

Now for 24...

President Logan was in on it the whole time! What a bastard. I hope Jack Bauer makes his remaining years very uncomfortable. But in order to bring him to justice, they have to escape Henderson, who will do anything he can to stop the evidence from getting exposed. And is anyone else a little suspicious of Secretary Heller? Something's a little fishy. If the president's a bad guy, who knows who else is? Not to metntion he appeared on a comedy on ABC. I must say, between Prison Break and 24, I was on the edge of my seat. I don't know about you, but I can't wait until next Monday.

While I'm thinking about racism, I'd like to address the issue of racist cops. While there is a percentage of men in blue who use the badge for wrongdoing, there is a much much much larger precentage who help out the citizens of our country. There are racist teachers too, who use racial slurs and teach hate, but there aren't songs about killing them. If I could fight the cops who attack minorities, believe me, I'd do it (or just hire Chuck Norris to do it). But we need to show a healthy respect for those police officers who do help out the community, because we'd be nowhere without them.

I've recieved complaints that my blog does not have enough written. So, I decided to write about something that really PISSES ME OFF!!! What is it, you ask? People who say the band Lynyrd Skynyrd is racist, thats what. I'll start by saying anyone who thinks that is an idiot, to say the least. Their songs consit of beautiful lyrics, such as those that appear in the song "Free Bird."

If I leave here tomorrow

Racist? I think not. There is also contraversy over the song "Sweet Home Alabama," in which Skynyrd takes a stab at Neil Young. All they actually say is "a southern man don't need him around." Thats not saying they hate anyone, just saying they don't need him. I'd also like to point out that one of the members of the band (Ronnie Van Zant) was BURRIED IN A NEIL YOUNG T-SHIRT!!! You don't get burried in the t-shirt of someone you hate. In reality, the two artists (who both have amazing musical talent) were friends and simply having a friendly "dissing contest." People who call it hate should be hog tied and pushed off a cliff.

As for the Confederate flag that the band often used as a backdrop in their shows, that's simply a symbol. 150 years ago, it represented states rights (which included slavery). Now, it simply represents the South as a region. It is NOT RACIST! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you see it my way.

24 is on tonight (Monday) at 9 p.m. I'm praying that I don't need to add any more names to the memorial (see previous post). It is going to be intense and I don't know if my fragile heart can take it. To make it even more exciting, Prison Break is on at 8. It's sure to be a fabulous night of television for all those interested.
